Privacy Policy

• Account information: your email address and password (managed by our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see or store your raw password).
• Career profile information: anything you choose to add — display name, bio, location, certification level, years of experience, home state, NREMT status, career preferences, and job-search preferences.
• Documents you upload: your resume and any license/certification files you attach for verification. These are stored privately and only ever served to you via short-lived, signed links — never a public URL.
• Payment information: if you subscribe to NomadEMS Premium, your payment is processed directly by Stripe. NomadEMS does not receive or store your full card number.
• Community and messaging activity: posts, comments, reactions, reports, and private messages you send through the platform.
• Email preferences:whether you've opted in to the NomadEMS newsletter, and when.

We use your information to operate the platform: showing you relevant opportunities, powering your personalized licensing snapshot, running your subscription, enabling community features, and sending the account emails described below.

NomadEMS sends two distinct kinds of email, and they are kept separate:

• Account and transactional emails — email verification, password resets, membership/billing confirmations, and similar account-service messages. These are necessary to operate your account and are not optional while you have an account.
• The NomadEMS newsletter — opportunity roundups, career resources, platform updates, and occasional promotions. This is entirely optional and opt-in: we only send it if you explicitly checked the newsletter box at signup or turned it on later from your Account settings.

We use Brevo as our email service provider for both kinds of email. Like most email providers, Brevo may use standard analytics such as open and click tracking to help us understand engagement with our emails. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time from your Account settings' “Email preferences” section, or via the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email — this never affects the account/transactional emails you still need to receive.

We share the minimum information necessary with:

• Supabase — our database, authentication, and file-storage provider. Nearly all NomadEMS data lives here.
• Stripe — our payment processor, for subscription billing.
• Brevo— our email provider, for both transactional and (only if you've opted in) newsletter email.

We do not sell your personal information.

Your professional profile — career information such as certification level, years of experience, specialties, and licensed states, never your personal contact information — can be visible to other people using NomadEMS in two independent ways:

• Provider Directory — other NomadEMS members can find your professional profile.
• Employer Discovery — NomadEMS-approved employers can find your professional profile and send you a connection request.

Both are on by default for new accounts. You can turn either off at any time from your Profile settings, independently of the other. Your personal contact information (email, phone) is never shown to another member or an employer through either of these — it is only shared with an employer if you explicitly accept a connection request from them.

NomadEMS uses a session cookie (set by Supabase Auth) to keep you logged in. We don't use third-party advertising trackers on the platform itself.

We retain your information for as long as your account remains active. If you close your account, we retain your information only as long as reasonably necessary for legal, tax, security, or fraud-prevention purposes, after which it is deleted.

• Update or correct your profile information any time from your account.
• Turn Provider Directory and Employer Discovery visibility on or off, independently, any time from your Profile settings — see Section 5.
• Opt in or out of the newsletter any time from your Account settings' “Email preferences” section.
• Request that your account and data be deleted by contacting us — account deletion isn't currently self-service inside the app.

NomadEMS is available to EMS professionals in the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and New Zealand, and your information may be processed in the United States by our service providers regardless of where you're located.

NomadEMS is intended for licensed and prospective EMS professionals and is not directed to children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

We may update this policy as NomadEMS changes, including as our use of Brevo or other providers changes. Material changes will update the effective date above.
